Initial Goals for the Taskforce include the following

- Create new and improve existing policies to reflect the promotion of an inclusive environment
- Discrimination & harassment policies
- Recruitment & hiring policies/practices
- Selection of BOD, Executive committee members, officers, committee members (including creation of equitable scoring rubric)
- Retention and promotion practices
- Bylaws
- Create an anonymous feedback channel within SASGOG by which members can communicate concerns or ideas for improvement of SASGOG’s demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusive excellence (possibly via website)
- Consider climate survey of SASGOG membership in future/once initial work has been accomplished
- Perform environmental survey of our website to ensure the use of inclusive language and imagery in all of our communications/web-presence. Create a best-practice guide for use by Communications Committee when developing new content.
