CREST meets an existing need for formalized academic training in the quantitative and methodological principles of clinical research in reproductive medicine. Designed specifically for physicians in private or academic clinical practice in reproductive medicine, this innovative 2-year program engages the practicing physician in clinical research while allowing the individual to maintain an active role in clinical practice.

Brief Program Description:
The Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Division of Gynecologic Oncology is seeking applicants for a 1-year fellowship in Lower Anogenital Screening & Treatment. The fellowship is accepting applications to begin in August of each year. This program is designed to provide in-depth training to obstetrician-gynecologists in colposcopy and anoscopy techniques for female and male patients. Fellows will be trained in colposcopy and high-resolution anoscopy by experienced, credentialed faculty. Fellows will develop skills in the evaluation and treatment of cervical and anal dysplasia, as well as other complex conditions affecting the lower female genital tract. The fellow will have an appointment at the Associate level, will receive clinical and surgical training, and will provide inpatient (including Labor and Delivery) and outpatient services. The fellow will participate in patient care at Emory University Hospitals, Clinics, Grady Memorial Hospital, and other affiliated sites. Fellows will attend didactics and weekly Grand Rounds, and they will actively participate in teaching residents and medical students. The fellow is expected to be engaged in their own active research project, which will culminate in a presentation during the Department’s Resident and Fellow Research Day at the end of the year. Twenty percent of the fellowship will be dedicated to research time with ample opportunity for mentorship. The fellow will also have access to a team of researchers and a statistician to assist with their research project. If interested, the fellow can enroll in public health courses at the Rollins School of Public Health as part of the fellowship. The fellow will have the opportunity to be involved in international outreach and education around cervical cancer in Latin America. Specifically, they will be engaged in a cervical cancer screening program in a rural setting in Latin America early in the fellowship, followed by anal cancer screening program via high resolution anoscopy in the Caribbean or Latin American. The fellow will be expected to attend the High Resolution Anoscopy Course in order to become HRA certified. The fellow will be able to present at several meetings including ASCCP, International Anal Neoplasia Society (IANS), International Papillomavirus Conference, ACOG, and/or SGO. Finally, the fellow will have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, specifically the Anal Cancer/HSIL Outcomes Research (ANCHOR), Women’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS), and Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) protocols. Interested candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Georgia and be board eligible/board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Salary and benefits are competitive at the appropriate PGY level. Brief Program Description: The training program is offered by Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. This program is for obstetrics and gynecology physicians who desire to pursue a career track in academic hospital obstetric medicine and surgery. The goal of the fellowship is to train fellows who will assume leadership roles in safety and quality, ensure best practices and protocols are followed, and lead a multidisciplinary team in the management of inpatient obstetric patients. Graduates of this program will teach residents and medical students as well as provide consultation to and collaboration with physicians, certified nurse midwives, and other advanced practice providers. The fellowship offers exposure to low-risk and complex high-risk pregnancies and the management of medical, obstetrical, and surgical complications affecting these patients. In addition to clinical work, the fellows complete a master's degree through Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Science. This program further prepares you for an academic career and pursuit of research opportunities and scholarly activity.

Growing out of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Clinical Scholars program, an independent consortium of community, health system, policy and academic partners have come together to offer this important two-year, site-based training program. The new NCSP, which includes former RWJF Clinical Scholars program sites, retains the experience and central values of that highly successful program, including a commitment to teaching rigorous research design. Scholars participate in a robust, interprofessional core curriculum. Scholars acquire and hone a diverse set of skills in qualitative and quantitative clinical research methods, organizational and social change, community engagement, program development and evaluation, team management, communication, implementation science, innovation, and policy analysis. The program is both interprofessional and multidisciplinary, fostering team-based collaborations among physicians and nurses to address our most pressing health problems. Scholars who have completed their medical degree and residency training, PhD in Nursing, or Doctor of Nursing Practice, will share this important experience, enhance each other's career trajectories, and build a network of health professionals to lead change in the nation. Our multi-institutional and interprofessional leadership structure provides an opportunity to focus training on implementation science, state of the art methods for patient-centered outcomes research, policy-relevant design, and evaluation of private and public health system innovations. Partnered research also prepare Scholars with the research and leadership skills needed to design, implement, and evaluate interventions to improve the health of the population and ultimately achieve the value proposition of higher quality care at lower cost. Scholars will join the community partner consortium to tackle the top health problems in the region and statewide. Executing projects to solve real world problems in real time serves as the core training experience in the program.

Brief Program Description: Reproductive Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program offers Obstetrician Gynecologists the opportunity to develop a clinical and research career in the subspecialty of Infectious Diseases. The fellowship was established in 2008 and currently the program accepts 1 fellow every other year. During the program, fellows will be expected to complete clinical rotations in Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases and microbiology. Fellows are attend RID clinics, which include a GYN clinic for persons with HIV; a high-risk obstetric clinic for individuals living with infections such as HIV, hepatitis and TORCH infections, a Pediatric HIV clinic; and an HIV continuity clinic. Upon completion of the RID fellowship, graduates will have an in-depth knowledge of infectious diseases, specifically those affecting women.

The UNC General OB/GYN Research Fellowship is a 2-year clinical-research fellowship with the aim to increase the number of academic specialists who can embark on successful faculty careers, engaging in clinical care, research, and teaching. Fellows dedicate 50% time to research training/research and 50% time to clinical activities. Research training can include completing the Master’s in Clinical Research Program within the Department of Epidemiology at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Fellows engage in both retrospective analyses of existing data to enhance statistical skills and prospective data collection. Clinical activities include office-based prenatal care and gynecology at multiple faculty practices, gynecologic surgery, and labor and delivery coverage.

This is a NIH-funded two year leadership and peer mentorship program for early career investigators whose research exists at the intersection of women's health and infectious diseases. The program starts with an in-person, one-week workshop plus course on Global Infectious Diseases across a Women's Lifespan, followed by monthly webinars for the rest of Year 1. Year 2 begins with another in-person workshop followed by monthly webinars.
