Current State of the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Skills for Managing Shoulder Dystocia

Brief (short paragraph) description of the study (100 words):
This project aims to examine the current attitudes and practice skills of medical practitioners in the field of obstetrics when managing a shoulder dystocia. Shoulder dystocia is a rare but serious complication seen on the Labor and Delivery unit. Likely in part due to its rare occurrence, practice habits vary from provider to provider. Treatment is more often dictated by empiric management, in contrast to other obstetric emergencies with rigorous, detailed protocols. As the art of practicing obstetrics transitions to include data-driven protocols, more information is required to understand the current knowledge, attitudes, and skills that contribute to the management of shoulder dystocia.
